New Look 6150 / Renfrew

New Look 6150 and Renfrew morph.  I bought this beautiful navy, cream stripe knit on clearance at Joanne's.  I have wanted a navy striped T shirt since last summer!!  The cream part is quite thin and you can see through it.  Now, what pattern to chose?  I liked the boat neck view on New Look 6150, upper right top,  but was unsure of the fit.  Since I new that the Renfrew from Sewaholic fit me perfectly, I decided to use it to shape the front and back pieces.

I cut out the front and back of 6150 and then lay my Renfrew pattern on top of each of them and and traced and cut out, around the shoulders and side seams to mimic the Renfrew, but I used the neckline and lower hem of the New Look..

This knit is very light weight so it is very comfortable.

I left a slit on each side at bottom.  Look at that stripe matching!  I pinned each edge of the blue stripe when I sewed the side seams.

Since the cream stripes were too see through for my comfort, I lined the front and back with a light weight knit.  This allowed me to not have to face the neckline, or even have a hem showing.

I used the Renfrew 3/4 sleeves and sleeve band.

I love it when a plan comes together!  I plan to wear this with my mustard colored Moss skirt.

I love it!!
